Masca („the hidden village“) is a mountain village in the north-west of Tenerife. It has a population of 105, spread across 80 houses. Situated in the Teno Mountains at an altitude of between 650 and 800 metres above sea level, the village has only been accessible via a tarmac road since the 1960s.
