Anti-tourism graffiti and stickers across the Canary Islands

Readers have sent in slogans from Playa Bollullo, Punta del Hidalgo, Mesa del Mar, Puertito de Adeje and La Palma. The pictures are collected here and plotted on a map, and further sightings can be submitted.

Another photograph by Stephan Sulser, taken in La Esperanza, shows both sides: the rejection and the message being crossed out.

This message, found on a small cottage on the beach near the Barranco de la Piedra Viva, led to numerous other incidents of this kind. We are compiling them on a map (more on this on the next page).
