Playa de El Puerto de Tazacorte is situated in Tazacorte on La Palma. Its seabed consists of gravel and fine dark sand, a combination that the Canary Islands register lists for only one other bathing area. With lifeguards, wheelchair access, medical services, a promenade, showers, changing rooms, toilets, drinking water, vehicle access and a footpath, this bathing area ranks amongst the most comprehensively equipped beaches in the Canary Islands based on the reported facilities. Measuring approximately 400 metres in length and around 30 metres in width, it is also one of the five longest bathing areas on La Palma.
