Playa de los Cancajos is situated in Breña Baja on La Palma. At around 421 metres long and approximately 50 metres wide, it is one of the five longest bathing areas on the island. The seabed consists of rocks and fine dark sand, a combination mentioned in the register for only one other bathing area in the Canary Islands. The local council reports that the beach has lifeguards, wheelchair access, a first-aid service, a promenade, showers, changing rooms, toilets, drinking water, vehicle access and a footpath.
