Playa del Arenisco-Piscina Natural Punta Hidalgo is situated in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on Tenerife. The seabed consists of gravel, a feature listed in the Canary Islands' register for only two other bathing areas. The local council reports that the area has lifeguards, wheelchair access, first-aid facilities, a beach promenade, showers, changing rooms, toilets, drinking water, vehicle access and a footpath. Only four beaches in the Canary Islands report more facilities, whilst the area, measuring approximately 146 metres in length and around 20 metres in width, is below the average for bathing areas in Tenerife.
