Arico is a small municipality in the south of Tenerife. It is particularly popular with climbers, who are even allowed to camp between climbing routes. The municipality of Arico consists of various hamlets, all of which are very well preserved. Arico has a population of around 8,000. Arico’s coastline stretches for a total of around 17 kilometres. The hamlet of Icor is particularly worth mentioning; it lies just outside the town. The municipality of Arico covers an area of just under 180 square kilometres. The difference in altitude is immense, ranging from 0 to 2,529 metres. This is because the town’s highest official point is the mountain known as Montana de la Grieta. Arico is regarded as a particularly picturesque place on Tenerife. You can find all the information, news and pictures about Arico on this page.
