The route is part of the 'Paisajes con historia' series, which aims to showcase the cultural heritage of Fuerteventura. The starting point is the historic centre of Betancuria. From there, the route takes in several key sites in the village, including the Church of Santa María, the Monastery of San Buenaventura and the Chapel of San Diego.
Before continuing the ascent to Morro del Humilladero, there is an additional stop at the Archaeological Museum. This museum focuses on the indigenous population of Fuerteventura. In the final section of the route, participants reach the archaeological site featuring rock engravings and podomorphic depictions, that is, foot-shaped figures carved into the stone.
The Fuerteventura Island Council provides a bus service on request for the journey. Departures are scheduled from Morro Jable, Gran Tarajal, Tuineje, Antigua, Corralejo, La Oliva and Puerto del Rosario. Participation is free of charge; registration can be completed via the Patrimonio Cultural de Fuerteventura website.
