The festival programme begins on Thursday with a parade by Batucada Calemba at 19:00, the opening speech at 20:00 and a performance by El Callao from 21:30. There will be a market in the Plaza de El Castillo every day.
On Friday, from 9:30 to 13:00, there will be an exhibition featuring the Guardia Civil, the local police, the Canary Islands police and Civil Protection. In the afternoon, a children's festival is on the programme from 17:00 to 19:00, followed by music from 20:00 until midnight.
Saturday combines sport and music with the 21st deep-sea fishing tournament, the 13th rowing regatta at the harbour from 12 noon, and the first FuerteRetumbe batucada gathering with dancing from 17:30. According to the local council, the traditional rowing boat regatta is returning this year.
On Sunday, the programme continues at 10:00 with Mass and a procession by water and land at the harbour. This is followed by a water festival at 11:30, the fifth commemorative rowing regatta at 12 noon, and the closing ceremony at 16:00. All events will take place in the Plaza de El Castillo, unless otherwise stated.
