Coser y contar object theatre in Puerto del Rosario
This object theatre uses sewing accessories to recount the memories of a woman born in Lalín in 1936, the story of her granddaughter, and the gaps in between. Seated around a round table, needles, threads, thimbles and measuring tapes become symbols of memory, pain and the passage of time. The performance is aimed at theatregoers with an interest in visual and poetic forms. Admission is free.

"Coser y contar" is an object theatre piece that weaves a narrative from everyday sewing items. It takes as its starting point the belongings of a woman born in Lalín in 1936. From these, memories emerge, as do connections between generations and the quiet moments of a family history.
The performance takes place at a round table. Needles, threads, thimbles and measuring tapes become metaphors for memory, wounds and the passing of time. The production draws on the poetic and visual potential of objects and the language of sewing to bring together words, memories and silence.
The performances will take place in the Sala Chillida at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos in Puerto del Rosario. Performances are scheduled for Friday at 19:00 and on Saturday at 12 noon and 19:00. Admission is free.
