Sabor y Tradición is the culinary element of the Valleseco festivities and is taking place for the second time this year. Regional producers set up their stalls in the Plaza Municipal. There will also be a livestock show, cookery workshops and culinary demonstrations, which are scheduled throughout the day.
The focus is on local produce, particularly apples, cider and vinegar. The range on offer is complemented by other products from the surrounding area. The initiative is organised by the municipality's Local Development Department and forms part of the Dinamiza Rural project, supported by the Canary Islands Government. The aim is to promote agriculture, strengthen the region's gastronomic identity and revitalise the local economy.
The event begins at 10:00 in the Plaza Municipal in Valleseco. On the same day, the 52nd Romería-Ofrenda to Nuestra Señora de La Encarnación will take place from 18:30, combining the market in the morning with the pilgrimage in the evening.
