A Christmas Carol: Family theatre at the Teatro Guiniguada
This multidisciplinary family theatre production by Société Mouffette and COMA14 reimagines Dickens' A Christmas Carol using models, props and simple stage mechanisms. Vera González brings to life the night that changes Scrooge's life. The audience sits directly on the stage, and the performance is followed by a workshop on how to make the characters. Each ticket is valid for one adult and one child.

"Cuento de Navidad (encapsulando a Dickens)" is a family play by Société Mouffette and COMA14, which adapts Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol for the stage in its own unique way. The production combines theatre with models, everyday objects and mechanical elements. It takes as its starting point a special family tradition centred on Dickens' book.
Vera González takes to the stage. She narrates and acts out the night on which Scrooge undergoes a profound transformation. The production was awarded the FETEN Prize for Best Literary Adaptation in 2024 and received the MAX Prize for Best Play for Children, Young People or Families in 2025.
A unique feature of the Teatro Guiniguada is the seating arrangement: audience members take their seats directly on the stage. Following the performance, there is a workshop in which the characters from the play are constructed. Each ticket is valid for one adult and one child.
