The focus is on Cuca, a character from the world of "Mi hija Mari", who reappears on television. In the story, she enters the first edition of Miss Lady Canarias, a competition that celebrates the 'traditional values' of women from the Canary Islands. The judging criteria include, amongst other things, cooking, dancing, make-up, recitation and singing.
Antonia San Juan recounts this return in her characteristically direct style, weaving together several stories to create an evening full of irony. The play thus becomes not only a comedy but also an observation on role models and expectations, repeatedly prompting both laughter and reflection.
The performance begins at 20:30 at the Auditorio de Teror. It lasts approximately 90 minutes and is recommended for audience members aged 16 and over. Admission costs 22 euros, for both the stalls and the gallery.
