Cuentos de Finaos with Juan Sixto and Cho Adargoma
The evening event 'Cuentos de Finaos: memoria viva' is a gathering centred on orally told stories, anecdotes and memories of deceased loved ones. In the Canary Islands, 'Finaos' is the tradition of gathering on the eve of All Saints' Day to share stories and pay tribute. At the Santa Brígida Town Library, Juan Sixto and other local residents will share their memories, accompanied by Cho Adargoma playing the timple.

The event forms part of the Finaos 2026 programme in Santa Brígida and draws on a traditional form of collective remembrance. It centres on local tales, personal anecdotes and stories about loved ones, as they used to be passed down on the eve of All Saints' Day.
Juan Sixto is organising the evening together with other residents of Santa Brígida. Cho Adargoma will provide the musical accompaniment on the timple, the small stringed instrument of the Canary Islands.
The storytelling evening begins on Thursday, 29 October 2026, at 18:00 at the Biblioteca Municipal de Santa Brígida. It is organised by the Festivals Department of Santa Brígida Town Council.
