In Santa Brígida's Parque Municipal, the Noche de Finaos is celebrated as a traditional festival marking the eve of All Saints' Day. The focus is on collectively remembering the deceased, as was customary in many families across the Canary Islands. The event begins at 19:00.
Three well-known groups from the island's folklore scene will provide the musical entertainment for the evening: A.F. Satautey, Los Medianeros de Gran Canaria and the Parranda El Pajullo. The festival thus combines tradition and live music in one place.
Typical treats for the evening will be served: roasted sweetcorn cobs and chestnuts, nuts and wine. A historic custom between Santa Brígida and the neighbouring municipality of Vega de San Mateo, the exchange of agricultural produce, is also being kept alive.
