The production combines music, speech and theatrical scenes to create an evening exploring memory and cultural connections across the Atlantic. At its heart is Carmelo Sánchez, accompanied by a six-piece live band. The programme is complemented by the theatrical work of Paky Suárez, directed by Antoni Ramos.
Hilos del Atlántico uses two textile traditions as a recurring motif: Canarian embroidery and Paraguayan Ñandutí. This creates a stage metaphor for the exchange between the Canary Islands and Latin America. The performance will take place on Thursday, 19 November 2026, at 19:30 at the Centro Cultural Federico García Lorca in Ingenio, Gran Canaria.
The event is organised by the Canary Islands Nanino Díaz Cutillas Foundation in collaboration with Ingenio Town Council. Admission is free, but advance booking is required.
