The Fotosub will take place in November at Playa de Las Canteras. The event kicks off on Monday 9 November, from 9:00 to 10:30, with the Fotosub Escolar: there will be talks in schools and activities at Playa de Las Canteras, as well as a photography exhibition.
On Friday 13 November, the Fotosub Nocturno takes place from 19:45. Following an equipment check and a group photo, the night-time competition in the Open Fotosub category begins at 20:30 and ends at 22:00.
On Saturday, 14 November, the professional category takes centre stage. Equipment checks begin at 7:00, and the Open Fotosub and Cazafotosub competitions start at 8:00. In the Open Fotosub, pairs of divers take photographs within a set time frame and in specific zones; in the Cazafotosub, free divers without breathing apparatus seek out the best images of the marine life and seabed of Las Canteras. From 10:00, there will be children's workshops, introductory dives with Buceo Canarias and guided snorkelling tours, as well as talks on the ecosystem of Las Canteras. The jury will deliberate from 12 noon, and the prizes will be awarded at 20:00 at the Talleres Palermo.
Sunday, 15 November, is Family Day. From 10:00, there will be children's workshops, introductory dives, kayaking trips and the 'Fotosub en Familia' competition. During this, parents and children will photograph the seabed using snorkelling goggles and underwater cameras provided. Fotosub 2026 ends at 14:00. Registration is via the event's website.
