Procession of Nuestra Señora de La Luz in La Isleta
The procession of Nuestra Señora de La Luz is the main event of the Fiestas de La Naval in La Isleta. The statue leaves the parish church and is carried on the shoulders of the Cargadores de la Virgen through the streets of the neighbourhood before returning to the church. The celebration forms part of the festival programme running from 2 to 18 October and is also suitable for families.

The procession on 10 October is the highlight of the Antiguas y Tradicionales Fiestas de La Naval in La Isleta. The festival is organised by the Asociación La Luz de La Naval in conjunction with the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The full programme of events runs from 2 to 18 October.
The procession begins and ends at the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de La Luz on Calle Pérez Muñoz in La Isleta. From there, the statue of Nuestra Señora de La Luz is carried out of the church, paraded through the streets of the neighbourhood and then returned to the parish church. The bearers are the Cargadores de la Virgen, who carry the statue of the Virgin Mary on their shoulders.
Following the procession, the Batalla Naval takes place at 23:00 as another highlight of the main day of the festival.
