"Caras y lugares" is a French documentary film from 2017 by Agnès Varda and JR. Varda, a pioneering director of the Nouvelle Vague, and the photographer and urban artist JR travel through rural France in a photo booth lorry for the film.
Along the way, they take portraits of the people they meet and affix the photographs in oversized format to walls, barns and house façades. The result is a cinematic tribute to often-overlooked professions and to the people who carry out this work. At the same time, the film brings together two generations and two artistic perspectives through a personal reflection on memory and the passing of time.
The screening will be shown in the original version with Spanish subtitles. It lasts 89 minutes, is suitable for all audiences, and admission is free whilst seats are available.
