Recuerdos del jable: A stage production about Antonio Corujo
The multidisciplinary stage show «Recuerdos del jable» pays tribute to the Lanzarote-born folklorist Antonio Corujo through live music, family participation, historical television clips and previously unseen photographs. The performance features vocals, the timple and lapas, as well as several members of the Corujo family and guests from the world of Canarian folk music. The 90-minute performance is suitable for all age groups; admission costs 10 euros.

The production traces the life and work of Antonio Corujo, highlighting key stages of his life. It is based on a well-researched script, a carefully curated selection of music, as well as historical television footage and previously unpublished photographs. Through song, the timple and lapas, the production focuses on Corujo's significance for Lanzarote and its traditions.
The performance is carried by his family, including his children, grandchildren, brother, nephews and friends. Appearing on stage are Ciro, Cirito, Pancho, Toñín, Domi, Vicente, Néstor Castro and Domingo Corujo Tejera. They are joined by guests from the world of Canarian folk music, such as Dionisio Rodríguez, Fabiola Socas and Domingo 'El Colorao'.
The show also explores themes such as family, travel, schools and Venezuela. The performance lasts 90 minutes and takes place at the Teatro Víctor Fernández Gopar 'El Salinero' in Arrecife.
