Maggie Cullen is regarded as a defining voice of a younger generation of artists who reinterpret music from the traditional repertoire with their own distinctive style. For her concert in La Laguna, she has announced a programme that takes the audience on a journey through key works and figures of Argentine and Latin American culture, whilst also featuring her own compositions.
The singer rose to prominence, amongst other things, with her debut album "Canciones del viento", for which she received the Premio Gardel for Best Folklore Album. She is currently promoting her second album, "Décimas". It was produced by Popi Spatocco and features guest appearances by Kevin Johansen and Raly Barrionuevo.
In this latest work, Cullen places greater emphasis on her work as a composer. At the same time, she returns to a number of songwriters who have shaped her artistic journey. The concert begins at 20:30 at the Teatro Leal.
