"Enlutados" is an ethnographic exhibition forming part of Finados Santa Cruz 2026. It focuses on the traditional way in which mourning is expressed and made visible through clothing in the Canary Islands. The exhibition aims to revive this form of cultural heritage and bring it to the attention of a wider audience.
The exhibition forms part of the programme for Finados, a period in the Canary Islands associated with remembrance, customs and folk traditions. It thus adds a cultural-historical dimension to the festival programme, bringing together fashion, history and ethnography.
The exhibition will be on display from 15 to 31 October 2026 at the Sala de Arte Los Lavaderos in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is being organised in collaboration with the city's Sociedad de Desarrollo and the Organismo Autónomo de Cultura.
