With Nerantzi, Santiago Auserón is launching a new musical project inspired by the soundscapes of Greece. Having explored rock, Cuban son, rhythm and blues, jazz and roots music, the Zaragoza-born artist is now collaborating with bouzouki player Vaggelis Tzeretas and singer and guitarist Theodoros Karellas.
The programme combines original compositions with Spanish adaptations of 20th-century classics from the rebetiko and Greek song traditions. Theodoros Karellas is featured as an interpreter of contemporary rebetiko. The selection draws on music born of shared experiences, migration and common emotions.
The concert is part of the Otoño Cultural CajaCanarias 2026 and will take place at the Espacio Cultural CajaCanarias on Plaza del Patriotismo in Santa Cruz. Tickets are available online.
