The ballet "The Nutcracker" will be performed, featuring soloists from Ukraine, France, Moldova, Spain, Italy and other countries. The lead roles will be danced by Cristina Terentiev and Alexandru Balan.
The story centres on Clara, who receives a nutcracker as a Christmas present from her godfather. Whilst the family sleeps, Clara and her Nutcracker Prince battle the Mouse King's army. Their journey then takes them through a dream world filled with snowflakes and sweets from various countries, all dancing for them. The story ends on an open note, somewhere between adventure and dream.
The performance begins at 20:00 and ends at 21:40. Tickets cost 38 euros in the stalls, the lower boxes and the amphitheatre, and 25 euros in the upper boxes. Special rates are available for families, groups, theatre, music and dance schools, as well as members of the ULL.
