The plot is set in a universe very similar to our own: the 'RealLove' app uses artificial intelligence to find the right match for every user. Four new users are on the verge of being matched with one another. The play takes an ironic look at how love becomes a commodity in the digital age, and highlights the contradictions and everyday realities of the present day.
It is performed by the theatre group Alongateatro. The premiere took place in December 2024 at the Espacio Cultural Los Ángeles (ECLA) in Güímar and was well received by the audience. The theatre group subsequently staged a longer version on Tenerife and Lanzarote.
In December 2025, "RealLove" won the Sauce de Oro and the Audience Award at the 21st El Sauzal Amateur Theatre Festival. Nicolás Aranda was honoured there as Best Actor. In April 2026, at the third Hermenegildo Socas Cruz Festival, the production won the Poleo de Plata, the Audience Award and the Best Leading Role Award, also for Nicolás Aranda.
