Cuca’s Old Clothes: a comedy starring Antonia San Juan
The comedy «La ropa vieja de Cuca» brings the character Cuca from «Mi hija Mari» back to the stage and to television. Antonia San Juan plays the lead role, wrote the play and is directing it, alongside Jennifer Artiles. The plot centres on a competition in which cooking, dancing, make-up, recitation and singing are judged. The performance is suitable for ages 16 and over.

Cuca, the mother from “Mi hija Mari”, returns to television in this stage comedy as a contestant in the first “Miss Lady Canarias” pageant. The competition is intended to represent the traditional values of women in the Canary Islands and assesses skills such as cooking, dancing, make-up, recitation and singing.
Antonia San Juan takes on several roles at once: she stars on stage, has written the play and is directing it. The cast is rounded off by Jennifer Artiles. According to the announcement, the evening combines irony, laughter and moments of reflection.
The performance will take place at the Teatro Municipal de San Bartolomé on Lanzarote and begins at 20:30. Admission is for visitors aged 16 and over. Tickets are available via Ecoentradas.
