Escuela de Empresarios 5.0: Financial education in Arrecife

The module comprises 20 teaching hours and takes place over five sessions as a face-to-face course at the Lanzarote and La Graciosa Chamber of Commerce in Arrecife. The sessions will take place from 15 to 22 October 2026, each from 16:00 to 20:00.

The course content focuses on the steps involved in setting up a business from scratch. This includes developing and assessing a business idea, methods for identifying suitable ideas and validating them. It then demonstrates how an idea can be turned into a viable business model.

Another section is devoted to the financial viability of a project. This includes investment and financing plans, provisional profit and loss accounts, and a financial plan with a cash flow budget. Key terms such as opening cash balance, cash inflows and outflows are also covered to help participants better interpret the results.

The speaker is Vanessa Farraz. She works as a business mentor and personal coach, studied business administration and specialises in strategic management. According to the organisers, the module combines theory and practice with a number of practical guides to enable participants to apply what they have learnt directly.
