In Yaiza, Manuel Vilas offers an insight into a body of literary work that is deeply shaped by personal experience and explores themes such as love, loss and the search for meaning. In conversation with Carlos Battaglini, director of the Lanzarote Literature Festival, they discuss key stages in his career and the questions that run through his books.
Born in Barbastro in 1962, the poet and short-story writer has published books including “Ordesa”, “Alegría”, “Los besos”, “Nosotros” and “El mejor libro del mundo”. “Nosotros” was awarded the 2023 Premio Nadal. His books have been translated into more than 20 languages.
The event will take place at the Casa de la Cultura Benito Pérez Armas, Plaza Remedios 1, Yaiza. Admission is free. Registration via fdll.es is required to attend.
