Cine Juventud Lanzarote is screening the Spanish film «Soy Nevenka» by Icíar Bollaín in Arrecife. "Soy Nevenka" is a Spanish film from 2024, directed by Icíar Bollaín. The screenplay was co-written by the director and Isa Campo. The film centres on the case of Nevenka Fernández, who, in 2000, as a 24-year-old Ponferrada city councillor, was subjected to pressure both privately and professionally. The film depicts the sexual harassment and bullying she endured, as well as the legal proceedings that followed her complaint.
The film will be screened as part of Cine Juventud Lanzarote in Theatre 4 of the Multicines Atlántida in Arrecife. The screening will be in Spanish and runs for 110 minutes. Mireia Oriol and Urko Olazabal star in the lead roles.
Admission is free. The screening is organised by the Island Council of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, together with Fisme Producciones.
