Noa lives with her mum and has no one to play with. In her chest of drawers lie the toys she no longer finds fun, and everything around her seems old and boring. One day, she accidentally casts a spell and steps into the magical world inside the chest. There, the toys come to life, and a mysterious creature rules over them.
The play tells a story of friendship, filled with adventure, magic and humour. It is about empathy, cooperation, diversity and respect for difference, and about appreciating what one already has. The performance is intended for children, but contains several layers of meaning, so that accompanying adults will also find it rewarding.
The concept and production management are by Lilian Portela. The play is directed by Carlota Rosón Rojo and Martín Blanco, who also appear on stage alongside Raquel Ferradás. The voice-over is provided by Iria Álvarez Leirós, whilst the original music was composed by Bruno Baw. Nacho Martín, Eva Antelo and Noelia Picadizo are responsible for lighting, set design and costumes. The props were provided by EVD Galicia, an association of women with intellectual disabilities.
Tickets cost 3 euros and are available from the Los Realejos Town Hall ticket office.
