Red flag over Playa La Lajilla in Arguineguin after water tests

Swimming is off limits at the Costa Alegre beach on Gran Canaria, where signs warn of contamination. Regular samples are being taken so the popular family spot can reopen as soon as possible.

The water, on the other hand, looks perfectly normal. But the readings are off. Regular water samples are to be taken so that Playa La Lajilla (Costa Alegre) in Arguineguín can be reopened as soon as possible.
