The town in the north of the Canary Islands is very proud of its swimming pool, which has not simply been renovated but has, in fact, been completely rebuilt. The «Centro Insular de Deportes Acuáticos» was planned from the outset as the island’s aquatic sports centre.

The grandstand can accommodate more than 500 spectators. This means that official competitions can indeed be held there – even under modern spectator conditions.

The new complex offers state-of-the-art facilities and amenities, and not just for swimmers. The site also includes three training rooms, new changing rooms, a multi-purpose hall and a cafeteria (most of which are located beneath the stands).

And of course, there’s also a car park in front of the new swimming pool in Puerto de la Cruz. It’s situated between the swimming centre and the old cemetery.
