Life-Size Nativity Scene Fills La Orotava’s Town Hall Square

Every December the square becomes a walk-through Christmas scene, blending biblical and Canarian motifs with a market, animals and a camel among the figures. Our photo gallery shows the scale of it.

From life-size camels to cute little chicks, there is plenty for visitors of all ages to discover. The focus, of course, is on the nativity scene itself and the birth of Jesus. Below you can see some photos of the largest nativity scene in the north of Tenerife.

In December, the town hall square in La Orotava is transformed into a huge, walk-through nativity scene. Various stations are set up to the left and right of the nativity scene.
