We show the completely refurbished pool from every angle... The large swimming pool had been closed on several occasions and undergone extensive refurbishment. It now shines in all its new splendour. But Lago Martianez in Puerto de la Cruz has more to offer than just a large swimming pool. There are quiet places and bustling ones. Visitors always manage to find just the right spot for them. And, of course, there are also all sorts of restaurants in a variety of locations, some of which are truly wonderful. On sunny, cloudless days, you can go for a swim whilst enjoying this fantastic view of Tenerife's most iconic landmark, Mount Teide. This art form can be traced back to César Manrique. The artist and sculptor from the Canary Islands had palm trees set in concrete the wrong way round. In the large swimming pool, visitors can easily swim out of each other's way. There's plenty of space - even on busy days. There are also various pools for children. Our tip: this pool, situated right at the western end, is often deserted. It's different in the official children's area. It's often very busy there. Meanwhile, the large pool invites you to swim in a relaxed way. There are various areas in Lago Martianez - including this garden area, which borders directly onto Playa Martianez. And there are always some great photo opportunities by the lake too - especially on days when the waves are a bit higher. The view from the Lago Martianez over Puerto de la Cruz is wonderful. Safety is also taken care of at the pool. And people with disabilities can also enjoy themselves to the full. There are designated relaxation areas near the ramp, equipped with a special wheelchair. The Lago Martianez in Puerto de la Cruz is definitely worth a visit. It is situated right on the seafront promenade of Puerto de la Cruz in the north of Tenerife.
