Playa de El Médano is situated in Granadilla de Abona on Tenerife. The beach is approximately 130 metres long and about 30 metres wide, making it only about half as long as the average bathing area on Tenerife. The seabed consists of golden sand. The bathing area is partly open and partly sheltered, and the official profile describes the swell as moderate.
