Unión Deportiva Las Palmas manager Juan Manuel Rodríguez has acknowledged that his team must turn around their poor run of form in LaLiga Hypermotion «as soon as possible» and insists he is not considering this Saturday’s match against Real Sociedad B at the Gran Canaria Stadium as his last in charge of the island side.
The veteran manager of the yellow team said at a press conference that he understands the fans‘ frustration following last week’s 0-3 defeat against Castellón, but insists that there will be no lack of «attitude and hard work» to ensure the players can «perform better on the pitch and turn the boos into applause».
At a press conference, Rodríguez stated that he is solely focused on the «day-to-day», with the upcoming match against the Guipúzcoa reserve side, and sidestepped the question of whether it bothers him that the club is already looking for a permanent replacement for him on the bench.

He has also asked the press to generate «positive energy» ahead of this match.
Although he has stated that he has decided on the tactical system to be used and the starting eleven, he has not revealed any details on the matter «because the players do not know yet», and he believes this is a good way of keeping them all engaged right until the end.
Speaking of Real Sociedad B, he highlighted that they are a «young and dynamic» side, who are also not in great form at the moment, and that, as a reserve team, their style of play is unpredictable, capable of the best and the worst from one match to the next.
