Weather in Puerto de Mogán
Puerto de Mogán is usually sunny and calm. The town is situated at the western end of Gran Canaria’s south coast, where the Barranco de Mogán meets the sea. It lies deep in the lee of the island’s mountain range, which is why it is one of the calmest and sunniest spots in the Canary Islands.
The contrast with the north of the island is most striking in Mogán: whilst a blanket of trade wind clouds hangs over the capital, Puerto de Mogán is bathed in sunshine. Anyone travelling to the town by boat from Puerto Rico will also find the waters are almost always calm.
