The price of petrol on La Palma has fallen by five cents per litre in the space of a week. This is the sharpest price change of any of the Canary Islands. As for diesel, motorists on La Palma are still paying 15 cents per litre more than the Canary Islands average.
Diesel has gone up by 0.8 cents compared with the previous week. At petrol stations in the Canary Islands, the average price per litre is 1.555 euros. As for Super 95, there has been no change, at least in terms of the average: the average price remains at 1.450 euros, the same as last week. Diesel is thus continuing the trend that saw new record highs as early as the summer, when diesel in the Canary Islands broke the 1.50-euro mark for the first time.
The price difference between the most expensive and the cheapest Canary Islands is 30.3 cents for diesel and 25.2 cents for petrol. Both fuels remain most expensive on La Gomera. By contrast, the cheapest diesel is available on Fuerteventura, whilst the cheapest Super 95 is on Gran Canaria. For both types of fuel, five of the seven islands are more expensive than the Canary Islands average. However, the price range on a single island is even greater than the difference between some pairs of islands:

By far the cheapest diesel is available at a petrol station on Lanzarote. There, it costs 13.9 cents less than the island average. The difference is even greater for petrol: the cheapest petrol station on Gran Canaria charges 17.3 cents less than the island average.
